On behalf of the U15 NBC 1 Trails West Hockey, we are thrilled to welcome you to the Provincial Championships!  We are excited to host the top teams from across Alberta and showcase our community, facilities, and volunteers. We wish all teams, players, coaches, officials, and families a memorable and competitive weekend.

Coaches and Managers Checklist

Event Location

All games will be held at Flames Community Arena at 2360 47 Avenue SW, Calgary Alberta

Apparel

The Host Committee, in cooperation with Hockey Alberta and Custom Laser Works, is pleased to offer a variety of Provincials Branded apparel items for purchase. All apparel items can be customized and purchased directly from our Provincial Championship webstore. Items ordered before March 12th will be available for pick up at the tournament. Orders placed after this date will require pick up or shipping at buyer's expense.

Opening Ceremonies (Mandatory for All Teams)

 Friday, March 20, 2026

 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM @  Flames Community Arenas 

• Teams playing immediately after Opening Ceremonies should arrive fully dressed in equipment.
• All other teams are welcome to attend regular clothing, with jerseys worn over top.
• Helmets are not required.
• Skates are required for all players.

Coaches — please submit a short team introduction for Opening Ceremonies. This is your chance to highlight your team’s season, accomplishments, and what defines your group. Your write-up will be read aloud as your team takes the ice. Please also include the introduction song for your team (a team “win song” is a great option!).  Introduction Example: “Please welcome the Calgary Storm Hockey Team! Representing Calgary’s south side, we’re proud to be here at the 2026 U15 NBC A Provincial Championships. Coming off an amazing season with two tournament gold medals and a silver at Esso Minor Hockey Week, the Storm are a fast-paced team known for clean, respectful hockey — and some of the loudest fans in the building! We’re excited for an incredible weekend and can’t wait to hit the ice!”

Gate Admission

Spectator Weekend Passes (wrist bands) are required for entry into Flames Community Arena

• Pre-sale Tickets (ends March 16th): $55/family
• Regular Tickets: $65/family

Wristbands will be provided for the following age groups:

• Adult - 17+
• Teen - 13-16 years old
• Child - 12 and under

For pre-sale ticket purchases for your teams, please provide a list detailing the # of family members and their age and send to u15nbcaprovincials@gmail.com

Volunteer

Game Volunteer Assignments - Trails West is responsible for covering all required volunteer positions for every game. However, we would be very appreciative if attending teams could cover their own penalty box. This would allow our volunteers to focus on other important duties. If your team is unable to cover the penalty box, please let us know in advance so we can make a plan. The home team is also welcome to cover music and/or the score clock for their games. Please note that since we will be using RAMP, Trails West will be completing the official game scoresheets.

Provincials Gear Drive

Leading up to and throughout Championship Weekend, we are encouraging all participating teams, families, and spectators to collect & donate gently used sporting equipment to help reduce financial barriers for youth in Calgary. All donated gear will be collected on-site at Flames Community Arenas and transferred directly to the Calgary Flames Sports Bank. We selected the Calgary Flames Sports Bank because of its strong, measurable community impact and its commitment to ensuring equipment is redistributed directly to families who need it most. Thank you for helping us make Provincials meaningful both on and off the ice! 💙💛

Photography

Prime Sports Team Photography will be on site at Flames Community Arena for the Opening Ceremonies and Championship Games. We would like to welcome teams to hire Prime Sports Photography to capture your team in the action throughout the weekend! Prime’s photography will ensure each paid team has comprehensive coverage including ice level game action, bench shots, coaching staff, fans and priceless moments throughout the weekend.  Teams will be provided a unique access code for each game with a link to the website/photo gallery created for the tournament where they are able to access all the digital prints at no additional cost - Team coverage can be purchased for $250/team.
